No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

What Happens Next - Joe Satriani (2018)

Ascoltatelo.

Brief introduction to the use of those who ignore the existence and provenance of the bald gentleman in question: this 61-year-old (in excellent shape) of Westbury, New York, with both Italian grandparents, is one of the greatest living guitarists, and has been the guitar teacher of fellas like Kirk Hammett, Steve Vai, Larry LaLonde, Rick Hunolt, Andy Timmons, Kevin Cadogan, Alex Skolnick, as well as being part of Chickenfoot, playing guitar for Mick Jagger on his solo tour, and temporarily replacing Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple during one of their tour. This record is his sixteenth solo album, and if you seem to recognize the style of the drummer is because the drummer is the friend Chad Smith (RHCP, Chickenfoot); not even the bassist is bad, due to the fact is Glenn Hughes (and if you do not know who he is, you have two choices: stop reading or inform yourself, you can still do both). Having said all that, I could conclude with the phrase I use when talking about solo guitarists and their solo projects, and that is that Joseph Satriani known as Joe, is the only one who is able to make me listen to an entire record, moreover entirely instrumental (yes, incredible, but he even managed to make Glenn Hughes play a whole record and not let him sing a single word), and make me happy too. Listen to him.
