No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

Prigioniero

Prisoner - Caparezza (2017)

Seventh album for Caparezza. The notes tell us it is the result of a "deep inner crisis" experienced by the artist, and Michele Salvemini (Caparezza) had fun, playing on dualism between 7 (the letters of his name, Michele) and 9 (the letters of his stage name, Caparezza), which we find also in the album title, also find subtitles for each track of the disc, one of 7 and one of 9 letters. The lyrics then follow a concept that starts from the crisis, during which Capa reflected on his condition of imprisonment of his mental dimension, and walked along a path of guilty (crime, punishment, yard time, revolt, escape, lam, and other steps in between). So with the usual commitment, but without losing the smile, mood suspendend between fun, jokes and anger, and at musical level, it moves on the good rap to the usual good dose of rock, provided by the excellent backing band .
Guests of a certain level: John De Leo, DMC, Max Gazzé, for a record that reminds us that Caparezza is alive and struggling with us. Too bad, at least in my humble opinion, it seems to me a bit lying on a standard. The comparison, for example, with "Il sogno eretico" (without going too far back in time), even at the musical level, seems pitiless, though personally, I keep the highest respect for the Apulian rapper.
