Circo solitudine

Circo soledad - Ricardo Arjona (2017)

A few days ago, I do not know why exactly, I remembered my boorish idol Ricardo Arjona. Of him, and of my insane passion for his music, I talked to you, bored to death here, in the review of his previous record in studio. As I have already explained, in spite of my musical tastes, he is one of my guilty pleasures, and, coming back a few days ago, when I realized that from 2014 (the year in which the previous "Viaje" came out), two albums came out, I was scared: I calmed down only when I realized that "Apague la luz y escuche", of 2016, it's only a greatest hits. That said all these uselessness, let's go to the commentary on this new new album, where Arjona continues in his musical journey, very particular, as I have already tried to explain. Latin music, pop music, classic songs, but also soft rock influences (listen to "Vivir"; if you remind of something, you're not mistaken: it's basically "Dream On" of Aerosmith), and why not, a pinch of electronics. Yet, as for a guilty pleasure, "Circo Soledad" is also an album that I personally put on repeatedly, I listen it with pleasure, it make me smile with the texts, dragging me in Latin America with thought, even making me sing.
