Broadchurch - di Chris Chibnall - Stagione 3 (8 episodi; ITV) - 2017

Broadchurch.

Broadchurch, actually, has a flaw: it's over. Yes, this third season will be the last. Nothing more "Millaaaahh", no more English humor in the midst of tight interrogations, no more David Tennant (Hardy) with a two-day beard and an angry pale face, nothing more liberatory crying from Olivia Colman (Miller), stunning protagonists, in the middle to an equally skillfull cast. It's really hard to find a flaw in a crime investigative drama like this, and note that this is a genre that is not my favorite (though, after all, I keep on saying it but it will be difficult to go ahead without this series and without "Bron / Broen") : perfectly written, managed with just as perfect times, with beautiful plot twist, but used with moderation. This third (and last) season is also great, season in which we have another case from the beginning, and where the echoes of the initial one continue to feel as heavy, as well as, with fairness, the sporadic intimacy of the two main characters, and their so focused lives on work, are used to remember that they are also human. We'll miss it, we'll miss them.
