Mi dispiace, ma a volte certe mie fisse musicali non riesco a spiegarle. Epperò, se anche Pitchfork, che qualcuno critica, ma che è pur sempre una delle eminenze critiche musicali, ne parla molto molto bene, magari ho pure ragione.
Il country, anche quello virato in chiave pop, non è mai stato il mio genere, ed ho cominciato ad ascoltarlo soprattutto per le voci femminili, e perché magari erano ragazze carine, oppure perché me le segnalava l'amico Monty (per lo stesso motivo, che sono ragazze carine, e secondo me anche perché lui si vergognerebbe ad ascoltarle). Ma Miranda Lambert si è rivelata, con il passare degli album, una positiva sorpresa. E' un'artista di tutto rispetto, dotata di una gran voce e di una grande capacità di scrivere canzoni belle, e per di più, non scrive testi a caso. E' diventata un po' una delle regine del neo-femminismo, quello delle donne forti ma sexy, ed è spesso un piacere ascoltare anche testi non proprio insulsi. Maturo e pacato, nonostante il recente divorzio (da Blake Shelton), questo doppio dal titolo quasi auto-celebrativo è un disco nel suo genere praticamente impeccabile, e siccome voglio allargare i miei orizzonti, posso annunciarvi che sarà nella mia personale top ten del 2016.

She became a bit one of the neo-feminism queens, that feminism made of strong women but sexy, and it is often a pleasure to listen to texts not really silly. Mature and calm, despite the recent divorce (by Blake Shelton), this double with an almost self-celebrating title, is a record, in his kind virtually flawless, and since I want to broaden my horizons, I can announce that it will be in my personal top ten of 2016.
