Yours, Dreamily - The Arcs (2015)

"Yours, Dreamily" is the debut of The Arcs, one of the many parallel projects, beyond the most important The Black Keys, by the unstoppable Dan Auerbach. Started as a solo project, it has naturally transformed in the creation of a band, or at least a kind of. In addition to our own, in fact, we find Leon Michels (keyboards, guitars, horns), Richard Swift (drums, percussion, keyboards, acoustic guitar and vocals), Homer Steinweiss (drums), and Nick Movshon (bass), also credited as a songwriters, in addition to a rather substantial list of collaborations in the studio, the Mariachi Flor de Toloache (a female mariachi band from New York, here that deals with voices, choirs, brass and strings), Matt Chamberlain on drums on one track, Lee Fields, voice on "Nature's Child", and many many more.
Result? Pleasant, could not be otherwise, Auerbach and the others are all great songwriters, with retro tastes but definitely good, songs that are not surprising (because we already know exactly what they will give us, knowing now perfectly the aftertastes that Dan likes), then nothing new, nothing explosive, but the time spent listening to "Yours, Dreamily" is not wasted.
